Testing out the new camera

Better Together

I put a bit of film together from some old Super-8 film my Dad shot when Tim and I where small. There is 25 mins of footage that I have in total, bits of Mum and Dad looking very young, my Dad in Canada in maybe 1979ish and even a bit of Prince Charles visiting our then home town of Finedon.

This though, is just a 3.5 minute clip of Tim and I when we where very young. The rest I will put together soon and show you here on the site.

Sleep? What Sleep?

Well, it's been a while since we updated the site. Mainly that's because Ella has been very unsettled since returning from Ireland. She's not been sleeping well at all, and Val and I have been walking round like zombies, up at all times of the night.

So we haven't been doing anything that exciting really, just dealing with Ella and trying to get some sleep where possible.

We have a new routine that we are going to try over the next few days to see if it works, hopefully we'll all be getting much more sleep this week.

So not much to tell.

Here is a picture of baby Val that I think looks just like a certain insomniac baby I know. aahhh, matching dimples.

Bonus!

Just been told at work, that I'm getting a bonus for the crazy amount of work I did over the last month (most of the time Val and Ella were away, which was convenient).

That means we can afford to splash out on a new Video Camera. After lots of research I've decided which one to get (you can see it pictured on the left). Its the Canon HV20. It's High Definition and the picture quality is amazing, so stand-by for lots more video clips once we get our hands on it in the next few weeks.

Still trying to get time to put the rest of the photos on the flickr site, from when Val and Ella where in Ireland. I should get a chance over the weekend. There are quite a few on there already but there's a load more to go up. Also a few from Steven's flying visit just before Val and Ella left. Steven took the nice picture of them that you can see a couple of posts down.

Woops... forgot the camera

Well Val and Ella got back safely, and we've been chillin' out this weekend while they get over the jet-lag.

Ella had grown a bit and has a few new tricks, like grabbing at toys and stuff that you put in front of her. But she's still her smiley self and told me she didn't forget me.

There won't be any new pictures up for a while as Val left the camera behind. The memory card is on its way back to us though and might be here this week. So stay tuned for some more Pictures and updates soon.

My Girls Are Coming Home

Val and Ella left Ireland last night at around 9pm local time.

I just got a text message from Val saying that they had touched down in Abu Dabhi after their 8 hour flight. Ella slept all the way again, we may have to buy her a plane to fly her around in.

Their Flight arrives here tomorrow morning at 6:15am. Can't wait!!
