Website Moving

I've decided to move the website to a new location. I've moved all the old posts over so there is nothing missing. You'll find a similar look to the new site, but this new website will allow me to have more freedom over how the site looks and the kinds of things I can do with it.

Most of you will be automatically redirected, so if your even reading this it means that you have to change your bookmark over to the new site. I would advise deleting the current bookmark, go here to the new site and make a new bookmark there. That way you won't end up with two bookmarks for Our Life Down Under.

Other changes.
You might notice also that the URL has changed from www.simonpither.com to www.ourlifedownunder.net. If you try to go to simonpither.com it will now redirect you to ourlifedownunder.net. You might not be bothered, interested or even notice the change, but if you do, I hope this explains.
If your having any troubles let me know.

Also there won't be any more updates here on this Blogger site so no need to come back. Farewell Blogger, thanks for everything and hello Wordpress.

Ella's First Hair Cut

This is what Ella thinks of her new hair cut!
Val gave Ella her first haircut a few days ago. Her fringe was just too long, and getting in her eyes. We think she looks cute even if she doesn't. Come to think of it, (as you can see in these pictures) she has been putting a hat on herself a lot this week.
Hope to get some pictures of the baby scan up in the next few days.

The Huge News

I caused a bit of a stir yesterday by saying we had a huge announcement. "What could it be" you all thought.

Well the truth is, most of you know already (apologise to those that don't), We are having another BABY!!!

I didn't want to say anything on the site till I'd told my Dad, and it took me a while to get hold of him. It turns out I had the wrong mobile number for him, which is the only way I can contact him while he is in France.

Anyway, the Baby is due around the 5th December and we don't know the sex. It will be a suprise again. Val is doing well and already has a bigger bump that she did at this point with Ella. Still, quite small for 20 weeks.

We'll have loads more updates as we go along and maybe even a picture of Vals big belly. So stay tuned.

Picnic at Rainbow Bay

We went out for the day yesterday with the Macauly clan. They took us down the coast about 45 minutes to a place called Rainbow Bay.

Its a really nice spot, south of Surfers Paradise. You can actually see the sky line of Surfers Paradise in the distance from the beach there.

So we had a picnic and Ella had a little paddle in the sea and really enjoyed it. She usually gets a bit scared in the water but I think she is getting a bit braver. We took some pictures and a few video clips with Vals camera. The Pictures are up already as you can see, and the videos should be up there in the next few days. There should be one there now actually. More to follow.

Oh, and stand-by for a Huge Announcement!

Give Twitter A Try

I might have mentioned it before, but I'll mention it again now.

Twitter is not that easy to explain, but pretty easy to use. It's basically a way to sent a lot of text messages at once, by sending just 1 text message to twitter. Everyone that has signed up to follow you on there Twitter account will recieve the message you send.

From the Twitter website :

About using Twitter on your phone
Twitter really shines when you're away from your computer.
By hooking up your mobile phone, you can receive updates from those you're following (or just some people) when you're waiting in boring lines. And you can send updates, like"OMG, there's a monkey walking down the street!"—which, lets face it, you're unlikely to see while you're indoors.
It's all done through text messages (aka "sms"), which you probably use all the time anyway, so there's not much to learn.
Twitter doesn't charge anything for this, but be sure to know what your text plan looks like with your wireless carrier.
Also know that you can shut text messages from Twitter off at anytime by replying with "off" (and back on by sending "on"). And you can even specify that it turn off automatically at night.

Now we thought it would be cool to get a bit of a Twitter thing happening amongst our friends and family, so go over to Twitter here, and sign up, and remember to activate your mobile phone to receive your Twitters with. You will find my account here and Val's hereHappy Twittering!
